Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the winds (or angels or the Messengers of Allah) sent forth one after another. 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force, 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 And those that distinguish distinctly, 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 And when the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 So shall We make the later ones to follow them. 17 That is what We shall do to those who are guilty of crime. 18 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 Till a limit known? 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 For the living and the dead. 26 And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains; and have given you to drink sweet water? 27 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 28 (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny; 29 Walk on to the covering having three branches, 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 which seem as though they are yellow-coloured camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not speak (during some part of it), 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 On that day, woe would be those who have rejected God's revelations! 37 that Day of Distinction [between the true and the false, when they will be told]: "We have brought you together with those [sinners] of olden times; 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 40
