In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By oath of those that are sent, one after the other. (The verses of the Holy Qur’an or the angels or the winds). 1 storming tempestuously 2 By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive; 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 and by those who reveal revelations (to the prophets) 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 Surely, what you are promised must come to pass. 7 Then when the stars lose their lights; 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 And when the time comes for raising the little girls (buried alive) -- 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 Upon the Day of Decision! 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 15 Did We not destroy the ancients? 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 Then We placed it in a place of safety (womb), 21 for an appointed term? 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 for the living and the dead? 26 place on it high mountains and provide you with fresh water? 27 On that Day (of Judgment) woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 "Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-fire smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 As if they were tawny camels. 33 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 34 that Day on which they will not [be able to] utter a word, 35 nor will they be allowed to proffer excuses. 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 That is the Day of Judgment. We will bring you together with all the ancient peoples. 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
