Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By oath of those that are sent, one after the other. (The verses of the Holy Qur’an or the angels or the winds). 1 Then by oath of those that push with a strong gust. 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 By those who winnow with a winnowing, 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 excusing or warning, 6 Indeed, what you are promised is to occur. 7 Then the stars will lose their light. 8 When the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 and when the Messengers' time is set, 11 To which Day has this task been deferred? 12 Upon the Day of Decision! 13 How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 So shall We make later (generations) follow them. 17 In this wise We do with the culprits. 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 which We then placed in a secure repository 21 till a known term decreed? 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle, 25 The living and the dead, 26 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 27 On that Day (of Judgment) woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 28 (It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny! 29 Walk on to the covering having three branches, 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, 32 So like golden camels." 33 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 37 This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples. 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 Woe on the day unto the beliers! 40
