The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By [the winds] that pluck out vehemently 1 And those who undo the bonds gently, 2 and by [the clouds] that swim serenely and 3 Then outpace the others swiftly 4 And those who arrange [each] matter, 5 A Day shall come whereon the quaking will quake, 6 And the second followeth it, 7 hearts will throb on that Day 8 Cast down will be (their owners') eyes. 9 The disbelievers say, “Will we really return to our former state?” 10 Even after we are crumbled bones? 11 They say: “That will then be a return with a great loss!” 12 Indeed, it will be but one shout, 13 and behold! They will all come out in the open. 14 Did the news of Moosa reach you? 15 when his Lord called him in the holy valley of Tuwa, 16 "Go thou to Pharaoh for he has indeed transgressed all bounds: 17 and say, 'Will you reform yourself? 18 Then I shall guide thee unto thy Lord so that thou shalt fear. 19 And thereupon he [went to Pharaoh and] made him aware of the great wonder [of God's grace]. 20 But he rejected (the truth) and disobeyed. 21 Then turned he away in haste, 22 Then he gathered his people and cried aloud, 23 and proclaimed, "I am your supreme Lord," 24 you pay attention 25 Lo! herein is indeed a lesson for him who feareth. 26
