The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those (angels) that pluck out the soul from depths, 1 And by those who gently draw out the souls of the blessed, 2 And by those who glide along (on errands of mercy), 3 Then outpace the others swiftly 4 and by the angels who regulate the affairs, (you will certainly be resurrected). 5 The day the convulsive (first blast) shatters convulsively 6 and the second blast follows it, 7 Hearts that Day will be in agitation; 8 Their eyes humbled. 9 They say: “Shall we indeed be restored to life, 10 "What! - when we shall have become rotten bones?" 11 They say: “That will then be a return with a great loss!” 12 It will only be a single blast, 13 When, behold, they will be in the (full) awakening (to Judgment). 14 (Muhammad), have you heard the story of Moses 15 When his Lord called upon him in the holy valley, twice, 16 "Go thou to Pharaoh for he has indeed transgressed all bounds: 17 And say to him: "Would you purify yourself (from the sin of disbelief by becoming a believer)", 18 And I will guide you to your Lord so that you should fear. 19 And he showed him the tremendous token. 20 But (Pharaoh) rejected it and disobeyed (guidance); 21 and then he turned back to have recourse to his craftiness, 22 and gathered his people and declared: 23 And proclaimed: "I (Pharaoh) am your Lord the Highest." 24 But Allah did punish him, (and made an) example of him, - in the Hereafter, as in this life. 25 Most surely there is in this a lesson to him who fears. 26
