The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
46 verses, revealed in Mecca after The News (Al-Naba') before Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
CONSIDER those [stars] that rise only to set, 1 and gently take it away; 2 and by [the clouds] that swim serenely and 3 And those who race each other in a race 4 And those who arrange [each] matter, 5 On the Day the blast [of the Horn] will convulse [creation], 6 Followed by oft-repeated (commotions): 7 On that Day will [men's] hearts be throbbing, 8 [and] their eyes downcast... 9 (Now) they are saying: Shall we really be restored to our first state 10 "Even after we are crumbled bones?" 11 [And] they add, "That, then, would be a return with loss!" 12 But it shall be only a single cry, 13 and they will be upon the surface of the earth (alive). 14 Hath there come unto thee the history of Moses? 15 When his Lord called him in the holy valley of Tuwa. 16 'Go to Pharaoh; he has waxed insolent. 17 and say: "Will you purify yourself, 18 I shall guide you to your Lord so that you may perhaps have fear of Him". 19 And he showed him the tremendous token. 20 but he cried lies, and rebelled, 21 He then turned away, striving in his effort. 22 and gathered his people together 23 “I am the supreme lord of you all.” 24 So Allah seized him with the punishment of the Everlasting Life, and of this world. 25 Indeed in this is a lesson for one who fears. 26
