By those that pluck out vehemently 1 By those who gently draw out (the souls of the blessed); 2 by those that swim serenely 3 Then those who are foremost going ahead, 4 Then arrange to do (the Commands of their Lord), 5 On the Day, the shiverer shivers 6 And the second followeth it, 7 On that day hearts beat painfully 8 [and] their eyes downcast... 9 They say: shall we indeed be restored to the first state, 10 What, when we are bones old and wasted?' 11 They shall say, 'That then were a losing return!' 12 It will only be a single blast, 13 When, behold, they find themselves over the earth alive after their death, 14 Hath there come unto thee the story of Musa! 15 when his Lord called him in the holy valley of Tuwa, 16 'Go to Pharaoh; he has waxed insolent. 17 Then say thou: wouldst thou to be purified? 18 that I might guide you to your Lord, so that you fear (Him)." 19 Moses showed him the great sign, 20 but he denied it and refused [the faith]. 21 and then he turned back to have recourse to his craftiness, 22 then he mustered 23 Saying: "I am your lord, most high", 24 So Allah seized him in exemplary punishment for the last and the first [transgression]. 25 Indeed in this is a lesson for one who fears. 26
