The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the (angels) who tear out (the souls of the wicked) with violence; 1 and those that draw out violently, 2 and by [the clouds] that swim serenely and 3 Then those who are foremost going ahead, 4 Then those who regulate the affair. 5 On the day when the trembling one will tremble. (The disbelievers will certainly taste the punishment.) 6 and will be followed by the second one, 7 hearts will throb on that Day 8 Unable to lift their gaze. 9 They say: Shall we indeed be restored to (our) first state? 10 What, when we are bones old and wasted?' 11 They say, "That, then, would be a losing return." 12 However, it will only take a single blast 13 And they will wake up suddenly. 14 Has not there come to you the story of Musa? 15 When his Lord called to him in the holy valley, Towa: 16 That “Go to Firaun – he has rebelled.” 17 and say: "Will you purify yourself, 18 [If so,] then I shall guide thee towards [a cognition of] thy Sustainer, so that [henceforth] thou wilt stand in awe [of Him].'" 19 Moses showed him the great sign, 20 Yet he belied and disobeyed. 21 Then turned he away in haste, 22 Then he gathered (men) and called out. 23 And said, "I am your most exalted lord." 24 So Allah seized him (and made him) an example for the after (life) and for the former. 25 Indeed in that is a warning for whoever would fear [Allah]. 26
