Are ye the harder to create, or is the heaven that He built? 27 On high hath He raised its canopy, and He hath given it order and perfection. 28 Its night doth He endow with darkness, and its splendour doth He bring out (with light). 29 After this, He spread out the earth, 30 And from it produced its water and its pasture. 31 And the mountains hath He firmly fixed;- 32 all this as provision for you and your cattle. 33 Then, when the Great Catastrophe comes 34 The Day when man shall remember (all) that he strove for, 35 And Hell-fire shall be made apparent in full view for (every) one who sees, 36 Then he who had been rebellious 37 preferring the present life, 38 Will surely have Hell for his abode. 39 And as for him who dreaded standing before his Lord, and restrained his soul from lust, 40 most surely his abode shall be Paradise. 41 They ask you about the Hour: “When will it be?” 42 What do you have to do with explaining it? 43 To your Lord is its finality. 44 Thou art only the warner of him who fears it. 45 On the day when they see it, it will seem to them as though they had only lived in the world for a morning and an afternoon. 46
