He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ (The Prophet) frowned and turned away, 1 Because there came to him the blind man. 2 But what would make you perceive, [O Muhammad], that perhaps he might be purified 3 or he might be mindful and good counsel might avail him. 4 As for he who thinks himself without need, 5 to him thou attendest 6 Yet it is not thy concern if he grow not (in grace). 7 And he who comes to thee eagerly 8 And whereas he fears, 9 You neglect. 10 These verses are a reminder 11 (and whoso wills, shall remember it) 12 upon highly honored pages, 13 Exalted, pure. 14 In the hands of scribes (angels). 15 Honourable and Pious and Just. 16 Accursed is man. How ungrateful is he! 17 From what thing doth He create him? 18 From a drop of seed. He createth him and proportioneth him, 19 then the way eased for him, 20 Then He causes his death and provides a grave for him. 21 Then when He pleases, He will raise him to life again. 22 Nay, but (man) has not done what He commanded him. 23 Then let man look at his food, 24 [how it is] that We pour down water, pouring it down abundantly; 25 Then split the earth in clefts 26 And cause the grain to grow therein 27 grapes, vegetables, 28 And olives and palms 29 And thick gardens, 30 And fruits and herbage 31 as provision for you and for your cattle to enjoy. 32 Then, when there comes As-Sakhkhah (the Day of Resurrection's second blowing of Trumpet), 33 On that day man will run away from his brother. 34 his mother, his father, 35 And from his wife and his children. 36 for on that day everyone will be completely engrossed in his own concerns. 37 [Some] faces, that Day, will be bright - 38 Laughing and full of joy, 39 And (many) faces on that day, on them shall be dust, 40 Veiled in darkness, 41 These will be the unbelievers, the wicked. 42
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
