He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ He frowned and turned away. 1 Because there came to him the blind man (interrupting). 2 But what would make you perceive, [O Muhammad], that perhaps he might be purified 3 (He might) remember, and the Reminder might profit him. 4 As for him who was indifferent, 5 To him you give attention. 6 Yet it is not thy concern if he grow not (in grace). 7 And as for him who cometh unto thee running, 8 And hath fear, 9 You neglect. 10 Assuredly this is a reminder 11 So whoso wills may give heed to it. 12 in [the light of His] revelations blest with dignity, 13 exalted, purified, 14 Written by the hands of emissaries. 15 Who are noble, virtuous. 16 Woe to man! How ungrateful he is! 17 From what did He create him? 18 From a drop of liquid; He created him and then set several measures for him. 19 Then eased the way for him. 20 He will then send him to death and have him laid in the grave. 21 and He will resurrect him whenever He wants. 22 Nay, but (man) has not done what He commanded him. 23 Then let mankind look at his food - 24 We send down abundant water, 25 and then We cleaved the earth asunder. 26 then caused the grain to grow out of it, 27 together with grapes and vegetables, 28 and olives, and palms, 29 and dense-tree'd gardens, 30 and fruits and fodder 31 In order to benefit you and your cattle. 32 AND SO, when the piercing call [of resurrection] is heard 33 on that Day a man shall flee from his own brother, 34 And his mother and his father, 35 his consort, his sons, 36 on that Day, to every one of them will his own state be of sufficient concern. 37 Some faces that Day, will be bright (true believers of Islamic Monotheism). 38 and be cheerful and joyous. 39 Some faces on that Day shall be dust-ridden, 40 Veiled in darkness, 41 Those! they are the infidels, the ungodly. 42
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
End of Surah: He Frowned ('Abasa). Sent down in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
