The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
WHEN THE SUN is shrouded in darkness, 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 And when the mountains are removed 3 The ten-month pregnant female camels are abandoned, 4 The wild beasts stampede on the run, 5 When the oceans surge and swell, 6 souls are reunited with their bodies, 7 questions are asked about the baby girls buried alive, 8 for what offence was she killed? 9 the records of deeds are made public, 10 And when the heaven has its covering removed, 11 When Hell is set ablaze, 12 and Paradise brought nigh: 13 Every soul will then come know what it has brought. 14 I swear by the receding stars. 15 the runners, the sinkers, 16 And by oath of the night when it turns back. 17 And by the dawn when it breathes 18 That this is in truth the word of an honoured messenger, 19 having power, with the Lord of the Throne secure, 20 there he is obeyed and held trustworthy. 21 (O people of Makkah), your companion is not mad; 22 he truly beheld him [the angel] on the clear horizon. 23 He (Muhammad) is not accused of lying about the unseen. 24 This is not the utterance of an accursed devil. 25 Where then will you go? 26 This is naught but an admonition unto the worlds 27 For him among you who pleases to go straight. 28 But ye shall not will except as Allah wills,- the Cherisher of the Worlds. 29
