The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
When the sun shall be wound round, 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 and the mountains have been taken, 3 and when she-camels big with young, about to give birth, are left untended, 4 when the savage beasts are gathered 5 and when the seas are set on fire, 6 And when the souls shall be joined with their bodies; 7 and when the girl-child that was buried alive is made to ask 8 For what sin she was killed, 9 And when the Records of Account are laid bare. 10 and when Heaven is laid bare; 11 and Hell is stoked, 12 And when Paradise is brought near. 13 (Then) every soul will know what it hath made ready. 14 I do not need to swear by the orbiting 15 the planets that run their course and set, 16 and the night that falls, 17 and the morn as it softly breathes: 18 Most surely it is the Word of an honored messenger, 19 having power, with the Lord of the Throne secure, 20 Obeyed (by the angels), trustworthy there (in the heavens). 21 And (O people) your companion (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) is not a madman; 22 He certainly saw him (Gabriel) high up on the horizon in his original form 23 And he is of the unseen not a tenacious concealer. 24 Nor is it the word of a satan accursed. 25 Whither then will you go? 26 It is naught but a reminder for the nations, 27 for everyone of you who wishes to follow the Straight Way; 28 And you do not will except that Allah wills - Lord of the worlds. 29
