The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
When the sun is overthrown, 1 The stars turn dim and scatter, 2 the mountains are scattered about as dust, 3 And when the she-camels big with young shall be abandoned, 4 when the savage beasts shall be mustered, 5 And when the seas shall become as blazing Fire or shall overflow; 6 And when the souls shall be joined with their bodies; 7 And when the girl-child that was buried alive is asked 8 For what sin she was killed? 9 And when the pages are laid open, 10 and when Heaven is laid bare; 11 And when hell is further enflamed. 12 And when Paradise is brought near. 13 Then every soul shall know that which it hath presented. 14 So verily I call to witness the planets - that recede, 15 And by the planets that move swiftly and hide themselves, 16 by the night swarming, 17 and the first breath of morning. 18 [That] indeed, the Qur'an is a word [conveyed by] a noble messenger 19 The mighty, the honoured in the presence of the Lord of the Throne. 20 there he is obeyed and held trustworthy. 21 Your companion (Muhammad) does not suffer from any mental illness 22 He had surely seen Him on the clear horizon. 23 And he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) withholds not a knowledge of the unseen. 24 Nor is this the utterance of a devil worthy to be stoned. 25 Then where are you going? 26 It is naught but a reminder for the nations, 27 For the one among you who wishes to become upright. 28 but your wishing will not avail unless Allah, the Lord of the Universe, so wishes. 29
