The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
WHEN THE SUN is shrouded in darkness, 1 And when the stars fall, 2 When the mountains vanish (like a mirage); 3 And when the camels are left untended, 4 And when the wild beasts shall be gathered together, 5 the oceans are brought to a boil, 6 When souls are reunited (with the bodies) 7 and when the female infant buried alive is asked 8 for what crime she had been slain, 9 And when the Writs shall be lain open, 10 And when the heaven has its covering removed, 11 hell is made to blaze, 12 when Paradise is brought near, 13 (Then) every soul will know what it hath made ready. 14 So by oath of those that revolve. (The planets.) 15 the planets that run their course and set, 16 And the Night as it dissipates; 17 and brightening morning, 18 Verily this is the word of a most honourable Messenger, 19 The processor of strength, having an honorable place with the Lord of the Dominion, 20 there he is obeyed and held trustworthy. 21 Your Companion is not mad, 22 he truly beheld him [the angel] on the clear horizon. 23 He (Muhammad) is not accused of lying about the unseen. 24 Nor is it the word of the cursed Shaitan, 25 Whither, then, will you go? 26 This is a reminder for all the peoples of the world, 27 for whosoever of you would go straight, 28 And you do not will except that Allah wills - Lord of the worlds. 29
