The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
When the sunlight is rolled up. 1 And when the stars shall fall; 2 When the mountains vanish (like a mirage); 3 when the pregnant camels shall be neglected, 4 And when the wild beasts are gathered 5 And when the seas shall become as blazing Fire or shall overflow; 6 And when souls are reunited, 7 and when the female infant buried alive is asked 8 Upon what sin was she killed for. 9 and when the scrolls [of men's deeds] are unfolded, 10 And when the heaven is torn away. 11 and Hell is stoked, 12 And when Paradise is brought near, 13 then every soul will discover the consequence of its deeds. 14 I swear by the receding stars, 15 Who move straight and stop. 16 And by the night when it departeth, 17 and the morn as it breathes. 18 that the Quran is the word of the honorable angelic, mighty Messenger 19 having power, with the Lord of the Throne secure, 20 obeyed by (all creatures) and faithful to His trust. 21 Your companion is not mad. 22 He certainly saw him (Gabriel) high up on the horizon in his original form 23 nor does he grudge (conveying this knowledge about) the Unseen; 24 Nor is it the word of a satan accursed. 25 Then where are you going? 26 This is a reminder for all the peoples of the world, 27 to every one of you who wishes to tread the straight path. 28 And you do not will except that Allah wills - Lord of the worlds. 29

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
