Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder, 1 and when the stars are scattered, 2 when the oceans are gushed forth, 3 when the tombs are overthrown, 4 the soul shall know what it has done, the former and the latter. 5 O man, what seduced you from your munificent Lord 6 Who created you, shaped you, and made you well-proportioned, 7 He moulded you into whatever shape He willed. 8 Even then you deny the Judgement. 9 But verily, over you (are appointed angels in charge of mankind) to watch you. 10 noble scribes, 11 and these honorable scribes know whatever you do. 12 Surely the pious shall be in bliss, 13 And indeed the sinners are in hell. 14 They shall enter it on the day of judgment. 15 and from it they shall never be absent. 16 What do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Again: what will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 18 A day on which no soul hath power at all for any (other) soul. The (absolute) command on that day is Allah's. 19
