Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When heaven is split open, 1 And the stars dispersed, 2 When the oceans begin to flow, 3 and when the graves are laid open: 4 everyone shall know all his deeds, both the earlier and the later. 5 O man, what seduced you from your munificent Lord 6 Who created you then formed your symmetry, then gave you right proportion, 7 In whatever form He willed has He assembled you. 8 Nay! But ye do reject Right and Judgment! 9 And indeed there are some guardians over you. 10 Honourablel scribes. 11 who know of all that you do. 12 Lo! the righteous verily will be in delight. 13 and the evil-doers will be in hell 14 roasting therein on the Day of Doom, 15 And never therefrom will they be absent. 16 And what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 17 Again, what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 It will be a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to any other human being, God [alone] will hold command on that Day. 19
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
