Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder. 1 And when the stars become dispersed, 2 And when the seas are made to flow forth, 3 And when the graves are ransacked, 4 A soul will [then] know what it has put forth and kept back. 5 O man! What has seduced thee from thy Lord Most Beneficent?- 6 Who created you, proportioned you, and balanced you? 7 In whatever shape He will He could surely have fashioned you. 8 Not at all – but rather you deny the establishment of Justice. 9 But verily, over you (are appointed angels in charge of mankind) to watch you. 10 Kind and honourable,- Writing down (your deeds): 11 who know what you do. 12 The pious will surely be in heaven, 13 and the libertines shall be in a fiery furnace 14 They will enter it on the Day of Justice. 15 to burn therein. 16 And what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 17 How then can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 18 It is the Day when no one shall have the power to do anything for another, and all command shall be Allah's. 19
