The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
25 verses, revealed in Mecca after Shattering (Al-Infitaar) before The Romans (Al-Room)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ When the sky bursts open, 1 And has responded to its Lord and was obligated [to do so] 2 And when the earth is spread out 3 and casts out what is within it and is emptied, 4 And attentive to her Lord in fear! 5 O human, you are working hard towards your Lord and you will meet Him. 6 And as for him whose record shall be placed in his right hand, 7 He shall be reckoned with by an easy reckoning, 8 and will return rejoicing to his family. 9 But he who is given his ledger from behind his back 10 He will cry out for destruction 11 And he shall roast into a Blaze. 12 He once lived among his family joyfully; 13 and had thought that they would never be brought back to life again. 14 Surely yes, why not? Indeed his Lord is seeing him. 15 So indeed I call to witness the evening twilight, 16 And by the night and whatever it gathers in its darkness; 17 and the moon when it grows full, 18 You will surely go up level by level. 19 What is the matter with them that they do not accept faith? 20 Why, when the Quran is recited to them, do they not prostrate themselves? ۩ 21 In fact, they reject the Quran, 22 and Allah knows very well what they gather. 23 So announce to them a Penalty Grievous, 24 Save those who believe and do righteous good deeds, for them is a reward that will never come to an end (i.e. Paradise). 25
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
