The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heaven with its impregnable castles; 1 by the Promised Day, 2 by the witness and the witnessed, 3 destroyed were the people of the trench, 4 with fire abounding in fuel, 5 When they sat by it, 6 And they were witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 Against these they had no grudge except that they believed in Allah, the Most Mighty, the Most Praiseworthy, 8 Him unto Whom belongeth the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is of all things the Witness. 9 Those who persecute the believing men and women without repenting will suffer the torment of hell and that of the burning fire. 10 But those who believe and do good deeds shall be rewarded with gardens watered by flowing rivers. That is the supreme triumph. 11 Lo! the punishment of thy Lord is stern. 12 It is He who creates all things and causes them to return. 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Loving, 14 Lord of the Throne, the Glorious, 15 and the Most Effective in His decision. 16 Did the story of the armies reach you? 17 the armies of Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 And yet the Unbelievers (persist) in rejecting (the Truth)! 19 And Allah is after them, has them surrounded. 20 Nay! This is a Glorious Quran, 21 In a guarded tablet. 22
