The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
22 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Sun (Al-Shams) before The Fig (Al-Teen)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
CONSIDER the sky full of great constellations, 1 And by oath of the Promised Day. 2 by the Witness and the witnessed, 3 Woe to the makers of the pit (of fire), 4 The people of the fuelled blazing fire. 5 When they sat by it (fire), 6 And they themselves are witnesses to what they were doing to the Muslims! 7 And they did not take vengeance on them for aught except that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praised, 8 [and] to whom the dominion of the heavens and the earth belongs. But God is witness unto everything! 9 Indeed, those who have tortured the believing men and believing women and then have not repented will have the punishment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the Burning Fire. 10 Surely for those who believe and do the right are gardens with rivers running by. That is the greatest success. 11 Surely thy Lord's assault is terrible. 12 Indeed it is He Who initiates and redoes. 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Loving, 14 The Lord of the glorious Throne, 15 and the Most Effective in His decision. 16 Has the story of the armies reached you, 17 Of Firon and Samood? 18 Yet the infidels persist in denial. 19 And Allah encompasses them on every side. 20 It is indeed a glorious Quran, 21 In the Preserved Tablet. 22
True are the words of God the Almighty.
