The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the heaven, holding the big stars. 1 and [then bethink thyself of] the promised Day, 2 By one that witnesses, and the subject of the witness;- 3 Accursed be the People of the Ditch! 4 by a burning fire 5 Lo! [With glee do] they contemplate that [fire,] 6 And they, to what they were doing against the believers, were witnesses. 7 And they resented them not except because they believed in Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy, 8 to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. Allah witnesses everything. 9 Indeed those who troubled the Muslim men and Muslim women, and then did not repent – for them is the punishment of hell, and for them is the punishment of fire. 10 Lo! those who believe and do good works, theirs will be Gardens underneath which rivers flow. That is the Great Success. 11 Lo! the punishment of thy Lord is stern. 12 It is He who originates and repeats. 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Loving, 14 Lord of the Throne, the Glorious, 15 The great doer of what He will. 16 Have you not heard the story of the hosts 17 of Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 But those who disbelieve are engaged in denial. 19 Whereas Allah is, from behind them, Encompassing. 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Koran, 21 in a Guarded Tablet. 22

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
