The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the sky, and by the nightly comer! 1 And what will explain to thee what the Night-Visitant is?- 2 It is the piercing star. 3 There is no human being but has a protector over him (or her) (i.e. angels incharge of each human being guarding him, writing his good and bad deeds, etc.) 4 Now let man but think from what he is created! 5 He was created from spurting fluid, 6 issuing between the loins and the breast-bones. 7 Surely He is able to bring him back 8 The Day when secrets will be put on trial, 9 he shall have no power, and no helper. 10 By the heaven which giveth the returning rain, 11 and the replenishing earth, 12 Indeed the Qur’an is a decisive Word. 13 And it is not a frivolity. 14 Verily they are plotting a plot. 15 And I secretly plan. 16 Let, then, the deniers of the truth have their will: let them have their will for a little while. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
