The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heaven, and the night-visitor, 1 And have you understood what the nightly arriver is? 2 (It is) the Star of piercing brightness;- 3 No human soul but hath a guardian over it. 4 So let man consider of what he is created: 5 He was created of a gushing fluid, 6 That issueth from between the loins and the breast-bones. 7 Most surely He is able to return him (to life). 8 The Day when secrets will be put on trial, 9 (Man) will have no power, and no helper. 10 By the sky which returns [rain] 11 And by the earth which splitteth, 12 Behold this is the Word that distinguishes (Good from Evil): 13 And it is not amusement. 14 Verily they are plotting a plot. 15 And I am plotting a plot. 16 So give a respite to the disbelievers. Deal thou gently with them for a while. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
