The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By heaven and the night-star! 1 and what could make you know what it is that comes in the night? 2 The piercing star! 3 [for] no human being has ever been left unguarded. 4 So let man consider of what he was created; 5 He is created from a water dripping, 6 emanating from between the loins and the ribs. 7 Now, verily, He [who thus creates man in the first instance] is well able to bring him back [to life] 8 On the Day when secrets are disclosed, 9 Then he shall have no power nor any helper. 10 By the heaven which giveth the returning rain, 11 And by the earth which splitteth, 12 this (Qur'an) is surely a decisive Word, 13 And it is not amusement. 14 They are hatching up a plot, 15 And I (too) am planning a plan. 16 Let, then, the deniers of the truth have their will: let them have their will for a little while. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
