The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who has created (all things) proportionately, 2 Who determines and directs, 3 It is He who has caused the grass to grow, 4 then made it dry dark, flaky stubble, 5 We will make you recite so you shall not forget, 6 save what God may will [thee to forget] - for, verily, He [alone] knows all that is open to [man's] perception as well as all that is hidden [from it] 7 We shall make all your tasks easy. 8 So remind them if reminder is profitable: 9 in mind will keep it he who stands in awe [of God,] 10 And the wretched shunneth it. 11 He who shall roast into the Great Fire, 12 where he will neither die nor live. 13 He indeed hath attained bliss who hath cleansed himself, 14 And mentions the name of his Lord and prays. 15 But you prefer the present life, 16 although the life to come is better and more enduring. 17 Surely this is in the ancient scrolls, 18 The scriptures of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
