The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Exalt the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 who has created and shaped, 2 and who determines the nature [of all that exists,] and thereupon guides it [towards its fulfilment,] 3 Who bringeth forth the pasturage, 4 then caused it to wither away. 5 We shall make thee read (O Muhammad) so that thou shalt not forget 6 save what God may will [thee to forget] - for, verily, He [alone] knows all that is open to [man's] perception as well as all that is hidden [from it] 7 And We will make your way smooth to a state of ease. 8 So render good counsel if good counsel will avail. 9 Those who have fear of God will benefit 10 Only the wretch will turn aside, 11 The one who will enter the biggest fire. 12 In which they will then neither die nor live. 13 He is successful who groweth, 14 remember the name of the Lord, and pray to Him. 15 But you prefer the worldly life, 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 This, indeed, was in the ancient Scrolls, 18 the Scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
