The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ GLORIFY THE NAME of your Lord, most high, 1 Who creates and proportions, 2 Who measureth, then guideth; 3 It is He who has caused the grass to grow, 4 And then makes it dark stubble. 5 We shall make thee read (O Muhammad) so that thou shalt not forget 6 save what God may will [thee to forget] - for, verily, He [alone] knows all that is open to [man's] perception as well as all that is hidden [from it] 7 and [thus] shall We make easy for thee the path towards [ultimate] ease. 8 REMIND, THEN, [others of the truth, regardless of] whether this reminding [would seem to] be of use [or not]: 9 and he who fears shall remember, 10 but the most wretched shall flout it, 11 Who will enter the Great Fire, 12 Neither dying therein nor living. 13 Surely he will succeed who grows in goodness, 14 And magnifies the name of his Lord and prays. 15 But ye prefer the life of the world 16 But the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 This is what is written in the ancient heavenly Books, 18 The scriptures of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
