Dawn (Al-Fajr)
30 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Night (Al-Layl) before The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the dawn, 1 And ten nights, 2 And by the even and the odd, 3 by the night when it journeys on! 4 Is there not an evidence in this for those who have sense? 5 Have you not considered how your Lord dealt with Ad, 6 Iram of the pillars, 7 The like of which were not created in the land? 8 And [with] Thamud, who carved out the rocks in the valley? 9 And with Fir'awn, owner of the stakes 10 Who terrorised the region, 11 And increased therein the corruption. 12 Therefore your Lord struck them hard with the means of punishment. 13 Indeed nothing is hidden from the sight of your Lord. 14 As for man, whenever his Lord tries him and then is gracious and provides good things for him, he says: "My Lord has been gracious to me." 15 But when He trieth him, restricting his subsistence for him, then saith he (in despair), "My Lord hath humiliated me!" 16 But no; you do not treat the orphan honourably, 17 or urge one another to feed the destitute? 18 and you devour the inheritance greedily, 19 And love wealth with abounding love. 20 But no; when the earth is ground to powder, 21 and your Lord comes with the angels, rank upon rank, 22 And the Hell on that Day shall be brought nigh. On that Day man shall remember, but how will remembrance avail him? 23 He will say: "Alas the woe! Would that I had sent ahead something in my life." 24 None punisheth as He will punish on that day! 25 None bindeth as He then will bind. 26 O the contented soul! 27 Return towards your Lord you being pleased with Him, and He pleased with you! 28 Enter thou among My bondmen! 29 And come into My Paradise! 30
Almighty Allah's Truth.

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
