The Sun (Al-Shams)
15 verses, revealed in Mecca after Destiny (Al-Qadr) before The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By oath of the sun and its light 1 and by the moon when she follows him, 2 and by the day as it displays the sun's glory, 3 and the night as it veils it darkly! 4 Consider the sky and its wondrous make, 5 and the earth and all its expanse! 6 by the soul and how He formed it, 7 and inspired it with knowledge of evil and piety, 8 To a happy state shall indeed attain he who causes this [self] to grow in purity, 9 And he fails that corrupts it! 10 The people of Thamud rejected (the truth) as a result of their rebelliousness 11 When the most wicked among them stood up in defiance. 12 Then the messenger of God said to them, "This is God's she-camel. Let her drink." 13 Then they rejected him (as a false prophet), and they hamstrung her. So their Lord, on account of their crime, obliterated their traces and made them equal (in destruction, high and low)! 14 for none [of them] had any fear of what might befall them. 15
God the Almighty always says the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
