Al-Layl
The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the night enshrouding 1 and by the day when it unveils. 2 By Him Who hath created the male and the female, 3 Indeed your efforts differ. 4 Then as for him who giveths and feareth Him. 5 And believes in Al-Husna. 6 observe piety, and believe in receiving rewards from God. 7 But he who is a greedy miser and thinks himself self-sufficient, 8 And rejects the best, 9 We will ease him toward difficulty. 10 his wealth shall not avail him when he perishes. 11 BEHOLD, it is indeed for Us to grace [you] with guidance; 12 and to Us belong the Last and the First. 13 Now I have warned you of a Fire that flames, 14 where none shall burn except the most wicked, 15 who gives the lie to the truth and turns away [from it]. 16 For, distant from it shall remain he who is truly conscious of God: 17 Those who spend their wealth for increase in self-purification, 18 And is under no one's obligation to return his favour, 19 acting only for the sake of his Lord the Most High -- 20 and such, indeed, shall in time be well-pleased. 21
God the Almighty always says the truth.
