The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the night when it covers 1 and by the day when it unveils. 2 By (the mystery of) the creation of male and female;- 3 Indeed your efforts differ. 4 As for one who gives [to others] and fears [God], 5 And believed the best matter to be true 6 We will make smooth for him the path of ease (goodness). 7 But for those who are niggardly, horde their wealth, 8 And denies the best [reward], 9 We will make smooth for him the path for evil; 10 his wealth shall not avail him when he perishes. 11 Verify on us is the guidance 12 and to Us belong the Last and the First. 13 Now I have warned you of a Fire that flames, 14 None shall enter it but the most unhappy, 15 who have rejected the (Truth) and have turned away from it. 16 But the God-fearing shall be kept away from it, 17 even he who gives his wealth. to purify himself 18 They do not expect any reward 19 acting only for the sake of his Lord the Most High -- 20 And presently he shall become well pleased. 21
True are the words of God the Almighty.

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
