Al-Duhaa
The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By oath of the late morning, 1 and by the night when it covers the world with peace: 2 Your Lord has neither left you, nor despises you. 3 for, indeed, the life to come will be better for thee than this earlier part [of thy life]! 4 And verily thy Lord will give unto thee so that thou wilt be content. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan and protect (thee)? 6 And found thee lost on thy way, and guided thee? 7 Did He not find you in want, and make you free from want? 8 Therefore do not oppress the orphan. 9 And as for the petitioner, do not repel [him]. 10 and proclaim the bounty of your Lord. 11
