The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the Glorious Morning Light, 1 And by the night when it is stillest, 2 Your Lord has not forsaken you nor does He dislike you! 3 And verily the Hereafter will be better for thee than the present. 4 And indeed your Lord will soon give you so much that you will be pleased. (Allah seeks to please the Holy Prophet – peace and blessings be upon him.) 5 Did He not find thee an orphan and protect (thee)? 6 Did He not find thee wandering and direct (thee)? 7 Did He not find you in want, and make you free from want? 8 Therefore, the orphan shalt thou never wrong, 9 and as for the beggar, scold him not; 10 and proclaim the bounties of your Lord. 11
