The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
I CALL TO witness the early hours of morning, 1 And by the night when it is stillest, 2 Thy Lord hath not forsaken thee nor doth He hate thee, 3 What is to come is better for you than what has gone before; 4 And indeed your Lord will soon give you so much that you will be pleased. (Allah seeks to please the Holy Prophet – peace and blessings be upon him.) 5 Found He not thee an orphan, so He sheltered thee? 6 And He found thee wandering, and He gave thee guidance. 7 Did He not find thee destitute and enrich (thee)? 8 So do not oppress the orphan, 9 and him that seeks [thy] help shalt thou never chide, 10 But as for the favor of your Lord, report [it]. 11
