The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By oath of the late morning, 1 And the night when dark and still, 2 your Lord has not forsaken you (Prophet Muhammad), nor does He hate you. 3 for, indeed, the life to come will be better for thee than this earlier part [of thy life]! 4 And verily thy Lord will give unto thee so that thou wilt be content. 5 Found He not thee an orphan, so He sheltered thee? 6 Did He not find thee wandering and direct (thee)? 7 And He found thee in need, and made thee independent. 8 Therefore, treat not the orphan with harshness, 9 and chide not him who asks, 10 And as for the favor of your Lord, do announce (it). 11
