Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

CONSIDER the bright morning hours, 1 And by oath of the night when it covers, 2 (O Prophet), your Lord has neither forsaken you, nor is He displeased. 3 And the Hereafter is better for you than the first [life]. 4 And your Lord is going to give you, and you will be satisfied. 5 Did He not find you orphaned and shelter you? 6 And found thee lost on thy way, and guided thee? 7 Did He not find you in want, and make you free from want? 8 Therefore, be not harsh with the orphan; 9 And do not rebuke the beggar. 10 And abundantly proclaim the favours of your Lord. 11

True are the words of God the Almighty.
