The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Proclaim! (or read!) in the name of thy Lord and Cherisher, Who created- 1 Created man from a clot. 2 Recite, and your Lord is the most Generous - 3 who taught by the Pen, 4 Taught man that which he knew not. 5 Nay! Verily, man does transgress all bounds (in disbelief and evil deed, etc.). 6 Because he sees himself self-sufficient. 7 for, behold, unto thy Sustainer all must return. 8 Did you see him who forbids 9 A slave (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) when he prays? 10 Do you think he is rightly guided, 11 Or enjoins righteousness? 12 Seest thou if he denies (Truth) and turns away? 13 does he not know that Allah sees? 14 By no means! If he desist not We shall seize and deal him by the forelock 15 A forelock that lies, is sinful. 16 and then let him summon [to his aid] the counsels of his own [spurious] wisdom, 17 We will now call the guards! 18 Nay, Obey not thou him. But prostrate thyself, and draw near (unto Allah). ۩ 19
Almighty God's Truth.
