Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

May the hands of Abu Lahab be ruined, and ruined is he. 1 His wealth and gains will not exempt him. 2 he shall roast at a Flaming Fire, 3 And his wife, the wood-carrier, 4 On her neck shall be a cord of twisted fibre. 5

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
