Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the (steeds) that run, with panting (breath), 1 by the strikers of fire, 2 And scouring to the raid at dawn, 3 Stirring up thereby [clouds of] dust, 4 Penetrating forthwith as one into the midst (of the foe); 5 Surely Man is ungrateful to his Lord, 6 And indeed he himself is a witness to it. 7 And most surely he is tenacious in the love of wealth. 8 ۞ Knows he not that when that which is in the tombs is over-thrown, 9 and all that is in the hearts is made public, 10 surely on that day their Lord shall be aware of them! 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
