The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Quraish (Quraish) before Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

The Calamity! 1 What is the event that terrifies the hearts? 2 How will you comprehend what the startling calamity is? -- 3 A day wherein mankind will be as thickly-scattered moths 4 And the mountains will become as carded wool. 5 Then as for one whose scales are heavy [with good deeds], 6 shall inherit a pleasing life, 7 But as for one whose scales are light, 8 shall be engulfed by an abyss. 9 Ah, what will convey unto thee what she is! - 10 It is the scorching fire. 11

True are the words of God the Almighty.
