Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

The emulous desire of abundance engrosseth you, 1 Until you visit the graveyards. 2 Nay, you will soon come to know; 3 And once again: Nay, in time you will come to understand! 4 Nay! If you knew with a sure knowledge (the end result of piling up, you would not have occupied yourselves in worldly things) 5 Verily, You shall see the blazing Fire (Hell)! 6 Again, ye shall see it with certainty of sight! 7 Then, on that Day, you shall be asked about the delight (you indulged in, in this world)! 8

Almighty Allah's Truth.
