The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

Woe unto every slandering traducer, 1 Who amasseth wealth; and counteth it. 2 thinking that his wealth will make him live forever. 3 Nay! Verily, he will be thrown into the crushing Fire. 4 And what have you understood what the Crushing One is! 5 It is a Fire kindled by God. 6 to penetrate into the hearts. 7 Lo! it is closed in on them 8 In extending columns. 9

God the Almighty always says the truth.
