The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

Woe to every scorner and mocker 1 Who amasses wealth and hordes it. 2 He bethinketh that his wealth shall abide for him. 3 By no means! He shall surely be cast into the Crushing Fire. 4 And what will make you realize what the crushing disaster is? 5 It is a fierce fire created by God 6 Reaching right into the hearts of men, 7 It will engulf them. 8 In pillars stretched forth. 9

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
