The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Woe to every fault-finding back-biter, 1 who has gathered riches and counted them over 2 thinking that his wealth will make him live forever! 3 By no means! He shall surely be cast into the crushing torment. 4 And what shall make thee know that which the Crushing Fire is? 5 It is a fierce fire created by God 6 Which leapeth up over the hearts (of men). 7 Indeed, Hellfire will be closed down upon them 8 in columns outstretched. 9
