The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Woe to every (kind of) scandal-monger and-backbiter, 1 Who pileth up wealth and layeth it by, 2 He thinks that his wealth will immortalise him forever. 3 No indeed; he shall be thrust into the Crusher; 4 And what will explain to thee That which Breaks to Pieces? 5 It is a Fire kindled by God. 6 Which leapeth up over the hearts (of men). 7 it closes in on them from every side 8 in its long columns of flames. 9

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
