The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

Woe to every backbiter, slanderer 1 Who amasses wealth and considers it a provision (against mishap); 2 Does he think his wealth will abide for ever with him? 3 By no means. He will be thrown into Hutama. 4 And what do you know what the Crusher is? 5 It is the Fire kindled by Allah, 6 Which mounteth up to the hearts. 7 verily, it will close in upon them 8 In extending columns. 9
