The Elephant (Al-Feel)
5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Disbelievers (Al-Kaaferoon) before Daybreak (Al-Falaq)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Have you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) not seen how your Lord dealt with the Owners of the Elephant? [The elephant army which came from Yemen under the command of Abrahah Al-Ashram intending to destroy the Ka'bah at Makkah]. 1 Did He not cause their war to end in confusion, 2 And send flocks of birds upon them, 3 (While) you were pelting them with stones of porphyritic lava, 4 Then did He make them like an empty field of stalks and straw, (of which the corn) has been eaten up. 5
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
