Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Perish the two hands of Abu Lahab (an uncle of the Prophet), and perish he! 1 His wealth did not benefit him in the least, nor did whatever he earned. 2 He will be plunged in flaming Fire, 3 And so will his wife; carrying a bundle of firewood on her head. 4 upon her neck shall be a rope of palm-fibre. 5

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
